A man was knocked down and killed at mile two on the Phillip Golden Highway today.
It's a sad end for 42 year old Oliver Peters - who had spent years in prison for killing his uncle, and then got stabbed by his brother in 2019.
And, maybe that's why this West Street resident had a premonition of his own death. Cherisse Halsall found to more today:
Oliver Peters was seriously stabbed by a sibling and left in critical condition last August.

"As the Brawl continued the brother came back and started stabbing him from behind and in his neck."
He survived that - just barely, but up to last night had a foreboding of death.
Aurora Ferguson, Mother of the deceased

"He told me he said mom I don't feel good I feel like i'm about to die, he said I feel like i'm going to die, he said he's not feeling good and he said that if he died I shouldn't cry if he dies like that so I told him bwoy don't tell me your gonna die and he said i'm not feeling good mom, i'm not feeling good and then he had his hand on the bike and his hand was going like this."
But despite Peter's worries for his health, that's not what killed him.
This afternoon as he was coming out of the northern highway Puma gas station heading northbound a bus coming from the same direction knocked him off of his bike killing him, instantly.
Peters Had spent 5 years in jail for killing another family member, an uncle. But it seems that after his release he was once again a family man. His sister says that when he died he was buying pampers for her child.
Queenie Ferguson, Sister of the deceased
"I feel sad and depressed because my brother was a loving brother. He was doing an errand to get pampers because he saw my mom left the pampers there."

Aurora Ferguson, Mother of the deceased
"I don't know. I can't give the full statement what happened, what he was doing up the road to get knocked down, it's come. They came and told me just now I didn't even know that he got hit by a bus. I am trying to take it, I'm trying to take it, trying to take it, miss I'm trying to take it, I'm trying to take it, I don't want to drop down."
And whether Peters foresaw it or not his is an unfortunate death for a complicated man who in his last days was trying to live as best a life as he could.
Peters leaves behind a 21 year old daughter. The bus driver is expected to be served with a notice of intended prosecution.
