A case of domestic abuse where a man is seen beating a woman was captured on cell phone camera and posted on social media this weekend. It shows a man beating a woman near pound yard bridge in Belize city and other men just standing by as he beats her.
The Commissioner is Police saw it and was appalled, quoted as saying,
"Morning I have received the video and may I say it's very disturbing. I cannot understand how other men could just stand by and watch another man beating on a woman, and they did nothing to help her or even to tell their friend to leave the woman alone. Shame on all of them. I've directed the police to investigate the matter and to deal with those concern."
