Sandhill Resident Accused of Home Invasion and Rape of 22 Year Old

A Sandhill resident is behind bars after he was accused of raping a woman at gunpoint.

25-year-old Matthew Fuentes was arraigned this morning at the Belize Central Prison before Magistrate Albert Hoare. No plea was taken from him and he was remanded into custody until his next court date set for December 2020.

The victim alleges that Fuentes forced his way into her home with a gun around 5:30 on Tuesday morning. She says he hit her in the head with the gun and forced her to perform oral sex on him. Fuentes was unrepresented in court.
