Crime continues in the St Martin's area as 25-year-old Ryan Cole was shot several times before 9 yesterday morning. Cole was on the stairs of his mother's house on Tibruce Street when the gunman pulled up. Cole's family is saying that he had no gang affiliation, and could be found either at work or at home. But now, the police are saying otherwise.
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, NCIB
"Investigation reveals that Ryan Cole was on Tibruce Street doing laundry when he was approached by a male person and they had a discussion. Thereafter the male person pulled out a firearm and fired several shots towards his direction causing his injuries. Ryan Cole is presently admitted to the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition at this time."

"Sir, so at close range he was shot?"
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero

"Yes he was shot at close range. The investigation shows that it's an internal matter within that area with persons that are feuding in that area. We are seeking one person for that shooting at this time."
Cole was charged for the robbery at Freetown Drug Store that occurred in 2018. His mother said since then, he has turned over a new leaf. She also told us off camera that she saw the entire incident as it unfolded. She screamed for the gunman to spare her son, but he did not pay her any attention. Now, Cole has a 50/50 chance of surviving, and will have emergency surgery on Wednesday. His mother is asking the public for any type of assistance, as she is not working. She can be reached at 664-8448.
