So, with all the deaths and cases piling up - the need for public awareness is higher than ever.
Government says it will step up advertising - but we asked about Ask The Experts with the Director of Health Services which hasn't aired since October 22nd.
Here's our exchange:
Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"That we will be needing your TV stations, radio stations to probably be putting announcements every single hour of the day, for people to understand - you have to do your part, you have to help to be able to protect not only yourself, but your family and the love ones. We are all in this together."
Jules Vasquez, reporter
"In that light will there be resumption of Ask the Experts, which was a public information platform?"
Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"We want to do it slightly different and I think what we want to do is to have a daily short video of explaining what is taking place every day, so not just show the numbers and you try to understand what is going on. That's one of the things that the minister just mentioned that we are going to be doing. Certainly, if Ask the Expert is something that is necessary, of course we are going to do it. We need to do any and everything."
Jules Vasquez, reporter
"Is the CEO of Health and Wellness in office yet, Ms. Mendez?"
Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"No, she is working from home, who is again suffering from Covid. Her mother has Covid and she was Dido's campaign manager and Dido's sister-in-law and I think another family member also have Covid."
Reliable reports say that the Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero has been made to take a back seat since the change of government.
