We also asked the Commissioner to discuss the arrest of semi-pro footballer Floyd Jones. Last night, you heard him complaining in our newscast that he went to a barbershop. He says that a group of cops pulled him out of the shop, put him in a police lineup, detained him overnight, and charged him for failing to practice social distancing.

He disputes the charge and the manner in which he was handled, and today, the Commissioner said that he'll have to make his case to the presiding magistrate:

Reporter
"Are you aware of this particular matter?"

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"I am aware but I am not going to go in details for that. That matter is before the court, the court is going to determine whether or not he was in violation of the regulations."

Jones was arraigned today on that charge - and it was adjourned until February 19th of next year.
