And while the Minister may protest too much when it comes to a possible election spike, he is, for better or worse, at the helm of every public health decision from here until the end of the pandemic.
Still, it's got to be tough living in the knowledge that with Covid numbers rising it's almost inevitable for everybody to blame "Misho." Here's his take on being the omni-man:

"You've been given somewhat of an invidious position as Minister of Health. And in the public it may seem that if the numbers are spiking you would be the one to be held personally responsible. How does it feel for people to say: the numbers are getting worse, blame Micho. What is it like to have that weight on your shoulders?"
Hon. Michel Chebat
"The job comes with responsibilities. We have been doing and we have a team working here doing all that we can but unless people curb their behaviour, unless people take personal responsibility for their actions they are always going to be blaming a Micho or whoever sits on this position. So, I guess it comes with the job."
