An American woman was found dead in Altamira, Corozal. When police arrived on scene, they found 68-year-old Peggy Darnell fully clothed in an advanced state of decomposition.
Darnell was last seen by cleaner 34-year-old Marleni Catzim on December 30, around 8:30am when she went to clean her residence.
Darnell has had a clinical history of blood vessel cloths and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was treated back in 2014 for her condition, and her last doctor visit was three weeks ago. Police are investigating to see if it was a natural death or if foul play was involved.
