After almost three months on the run, the convicted murderer and prison escapee Jaroud Lamb was caught in his home village of Ontario on Saturday.

And today appearing in the Court of Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford Lamb pleaded guilty to a single charge of escaping from prison. He said that he did it because he'd learned that COVID had entered the facility and he feared for his life.

Magistrate Ford determined that Lamb, who accepted the fact that he and his fellow escapees had overpowered their guards, did not show sufficient remorse for his actions.

Ultimately, she sentenced him to 18 months imprisonment which starts AFTER he finishes his 30 year sentence for murder.

Lamb's capture means that only two of the originally 28 escapees remain on the lam, they are Micheal Faux, who like Lamb is also meant to be serving life imprisonment for murder, and Erwin Lanza who was serving 2 years for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.
