And while Cordel Hyde was acting in his capacity as the Minister of Natural Resources today, he's also currently the acting Prime Minister. While the DPM was in Dangriga all day, the PM hasn't been in the country since Tuesday. A release issued just today notes that PM John Briceno departed two days ago and is expected to return on Sunday. A cabinet brief says that he would be traveling on personal leave and DPM Cordel Hyde will take his place in the meantime.
