SUPT. Alejandro Cowo, Head CIB, Belize City
"On Saturday evening just before six police were called to the corner of Berkley street and Albert street where they received information that a female was injured due to gunshot. Checks at the hospital revealed that Miss Angela Roches had sustained a graze to her body. She was treated and discharged. What we understand so far is that there were a group of male persons who were at the corner of Berkley Street and Albert Street when somebody came and fired several shots in their direction at the same time that she was entering her yard and she ended up getting injured."
"We know who the persons are and they are definitely an affiliate of that group in that area. We have a suspect that we are looking for, and also we are speaking with the person that was injured to come forward and to officially file a report so that we can continue with the investigation. She was treated and discharged on the same evening."
