And while police begin their investigation on this latest killing in Belmopan, tonight, they're reporting that they've made an arrest for the gun murder of 30-year-old Kenrick Drysdale.

He's the businessman from Dangriga who was shot and killed last week Thursday morning. Persons closest to him suggest that he was a community-minded entrepreneur with no gang ties or affiliates.

This morning, the Head of the National Criminal Investigations Branch told the press that Griga police have arrested and charged a teenaged minor for his murder:

ACP Joseph Myvett
"On Saturday, based on investigation carried out into the murder of Kenrick Drysdale which had occurred in Dangriga last week, police formally arrested and charged a sixteen-year-old minor of Dangriga Town for that murder. During the course of the investigation, a nine millimeter pistol was also recovered."

Reporter
"Was it believed that the victim was the main target in this incident?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes, we do believe so from the evidence gathered so far."

Reporter
"Has a motive been established at this time?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"We are looking at several possibilities which I do not necessarily want to go into as I don't want to prejudice the outcome of the investigation."

Reporter
"We have to ask because the coverage of Drysdale has made it seem that he was this entrepreneur kind, good member of the community, but did he have any underground connections?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Not that we know of, but we know that he was familiar with the accused."

Reporter
"So they may have been a dispute between both of them."

ACP Joseph Myvett
"We have not been able to ascertain that so far."

It is expected that the minor will be arraigned and remanded into custody.
