And rounding out the remnants of last week's news we remind you of this footage of an inebriated Sittee River cop, now known to be a detective. Reports are that this uniformed officer fired a weapon while on duty.
It's a scenario that we questioned ACP Myvette about at this morning's Press brief but he says that the incident happened over a month ago, he also told us that the officers involved have been dealt with.
ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"This is an incident that apparently had occurred sometime about a month ago and I know for certain that the matter was being investigated by the professional standards branch, I do not know the outcome at this time of that investigation but I know that both officers were dealt with, the one stationed in that area as well as the person in question that you are referring to."
Cherisse Halsall:
"What type of officer is he sir, because we had reports that at the time he was on duty when he fired this weapon but in the video, he appears to be in jeans, was he undercover in any way?"
ACP Joseph Myvette, Head, NCIB
"He works at a detective branch so then he is not a uniformed police officer. He does work at a detective branch."
