"Yesterday evening sometime around 6:30 p.m. Roaring Creek police responded to an accident scene near Belmopan whereupon arrival they observed a red in color Ford escape with extensive damage to its front portion. A short distance away they observed a green motorcycle, also with extensive damages, and a male person later identified as Wilson Gonzalez 25 years was seen apparently motionless on the right-hand side of the highway when heading east. What the police have learned so far is that the Ford escape was being driven by one Dany Palacio 38-years of Roaring Creek village and she reported to the police that she was westbound in that area and she was in the process of overtaking a vehicle that was going in the same direction as her when she collided into the motorcycle rider who was riding in the opposite direction, She has since been detained pending this investigation and it is expected that charges may be proffered against her sometime later today."
Gonzalez received serious head and body injuries from which he was killed on the spot.
