And the weekend gun violence didn't stop there because there was also a weekend shooting on Handyside Street.
It involved a target named Snooki whose life may have been saved when his friend Derek Cervantes, the owner of a licensed firearm, engaged in an exchange of gunfire with his potential assailants. Here's more.

"There was a shooting on Handyside street, Derek Cervantes reported that he arrived home and he saw a male person he only knows as Snooki standing in front of his yard, two male persons with firearms came and fired shots towards this male person know as Snooki. Cervantes then drew his license 9 millimeter pistol and fired several shots towards the persons from prevent them from shooting this person. Checks were made at the hospital and so far no one had arrived with gunshot injuries. We are seeking two suspects in regards to this shooting."
