We also asked the Police Commissioner for an update in the investigation of the murders of 51-year-old Raymond Garcia, and 56-year-old Wayne Crawford Peteau.
As viewers will remember, both men were hanging out at a building on Church Street last Saturday night. They were playing dominoes at their favorite hangout spot for years, and sometime after 9:00, 2 gunmen pulled up on a motorcycle and sprayed the group. Garcia and Peteau were fatally injured, and 2 of their companions were also injured.
ComPol Williams told us that his investigators are working very hard to make an arrest soon:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I think they took it to a total different level when they did something like that, because those elderly folks who were in that building playing dominoes had nothing to do with the issue between the two groups."
Jules Vasquez
"Now the suspect for that murder is from one block away I believe. You all have a known suspect for that murder."
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yes we do. We are in the area now and you can see for yourself that the close proximity within which these gangs live with several inlets and outlets that they can use to maneuver and avert the police is just so much and despite that we are still trying to do what we can to keep the area as peaceful as possible. It is a very tedious task and like myself and Rosado said to the residents yesterday that we want their support, we want them to work with us because if we all work together we will be in a better position to stem this problem and stem it even more quicker."
Reporter
"Sir, are you guys close to making an arrest for that double murder?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We are not where we want to be yet, but I believe that we are going to get there. This particular murder it pains me as it pains any law abiding citizen in this country and it is important that we find those who are responsible and bring them to justice and so the investigators are working overtime with a view to try and see if we can get the evidence to charge those who are responsible."
