Police Accuse Driver In Vanzie’s Death Of Manslaughter By Negligence

Back in February, we brought you the tragic story of 25-year-old Aretha Vanzie, a vibrant young woman who lost her life in a high-speed traffic accident

Arita had been traveling with friends from Roaring Creek to Dangriga Town when, near mile 3 on the Hummingbird Highway, the driver, 21-year-old Damion Usher, lost control of the Chevy Impala. Vanzie was seen on the highway with a serious head injury.

And tonight we can report that Usher has been formally arrested and charged with one count of manslaughter by negligence, two counts of Negligent rounding, and Causing Death by Careless conduct.
