And while he doesn't have the SOE to save society, police have been saving lives with some extraordinary interventions - which, to hear the COMPOL tell it, have taken at least two people form the clutches of death, at the very last minute.
He told us about two recent life saving interventions leading to dramatic arrests:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Mr. Rosado and his driver were patrolling in the Caesar Ridge area as he would normally do. This was sometime around 8:30pm and when they saw a situation where members of George Street were about to shoot an individual in the Caesar Ridge area, Mr. Rosado and his driver sprang into action and their heroic act led to the life of that person being saved and likewise the firearm was also recovered that was being used to shoot that individual and then there was another incident that Jules is talking about now is a situation where a female was abducted by 3 members of George Street. She was taken to the John Smith road and was threatened to be killed and they took her out of the vehicle and as they were about to throw her over the railing of the bridge, the police came and they had to let her go and they took off. The police pursue them, the 3 individuals were caught and they have been charge for kidnapping in respect of that incident."
