On Friday we told you about the latest narco jet to land in Belize. The Hawker Sidley 800XP landed around 1:00 am in the northern area of Blue Creek, right next to the Mexican border.
And, estimates are that as many as three dozen men with machinery and firepower moved the drugs across the Rio Hondo before police could arrive.
Commissioner Chester Williams says that the night starts with three planes heading from South America towards Belize:

"Last week we had a plane landing in the Tres Leguas area in the Orange Walk district, Blue Creek area or beyond Blue Creek, the Tres Leguas area is basically right next to Belize, Mexico border. The night in question we were monitoring three tracks that were coming our way from North America and sometime around 2:00 a.m. we were told that the track had gone into Mexico and based on that the teams that were in the area withdrew to some extent and then couple minutes later we were told by an individual that a plane went down in the tres Leguas area and at the same time the Mexican air asset also notified us of the same and based on that we quickly deployed the team to that area and they got there within half an hour of having received the call and when they did arrive they only found the plane and its contents were gone. We did some searches in the area and we followed some tracks and the tracks led directly into a village on the Mexican side, the river was extremely low and so the vehicles crossed over and went into Mexico, so we're certain that the cargo that came into the plane went immediately over the Mexican side. Importantly, the Mexican air assets also told us that they were at least about $60.00 heavily armed men who were offloading the plane and providing security for it while it was being offloaded. So it just goes to show again that we are faced with the situation with these drug traffickers and it poses a significant danger to our human resources but nonetheless we continue to do what we can to avert and to respond to these incidents when they do occur."
The Compol also says that while there were also rumors of a landing in little Belize there's been no evidence to confirm that.
