Last night, we told you about the late evening discovery of a body some 2 miles off Caye Caulker. Tonight, more is known about the victim.

As we told you, the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, but police were able to determine that the deceased was a dark-skinned man with dreadlocks with a US dollar bill tied in his hair.

The deceased has since been identified to us as 27-year-old Albert Cas James, aka "Luddy", a fisherman from the Conch Shell Bay Area of Belize City.

James left Long Caye on Monday, and he was supposed to go on a fishing trip near Caye Caulker. He left on his trip, but he never returned. Yesterday evening, his body was discovered floating in the sea.

We got a chance to speak with his aunt today, and she told us that James most likely struggled with mental illness and that those he socialized with would often take advantage of him for it. Here's what she had to say to us in an interview this evening:

Denise James-Brown - Aunt of Deceased

"He does always come in but this time he stay longer out there."

Daniel Ortiz

"What was he like as an individual? Talk to us about his personality."

Denise James-Brown

"He probably have a nerves problem but people take advantage of him. Whoever he was out at caye with, they know exactly how he is but you have to leave everything in God's hand you don't judge people."

Daniel Ortiz

"Ma'am you said that he had a little bit of legal troubles going to and from the court, talk to us about that."

Denise James-Brown

"Well last time when he gone to jail, I won't take up for him because it was for stealing they said the last time and last time people put him to do thing and then when time to get catch, he take the blame for it because people always take advantage of him because he have a nerves problem."

Police have not classed it as a death investigation or a homicide.
