And while Jasmin Hartin has to comply with those stringent bail conditions - for Jemmott's friends and family they would still rather that she is behind bars.

On Saturday, that anger will turn into grief when they bury the man they called "King."

Today, his Minister Kareem Musa said his department did him justice by appointing the most senior investigators:

Hon. Kareem Musa - Minister of Home Affairs "I would want to take the opportunity first and foremost to extend condolences to my brother Superintendent Henry Jemmott. When I got the news early that morning, it certainly rocked me to the core as it did many of the officers in the Belize Police Department. It's a huge loss for us, he was a fearless officer and he was feared by many as well so he has a lot of critics. But we cannot look at that, in my opinion, he was an exceptional police officer, exceptional superintendent and like I said a huge loss for us. And so while I am the Minister of Home Affairs, the only that I could get involved in is to ensure that we put the very best investigators attached to this particular case and I feel in my opinion that we did so in the form of Mr Cowo and Mr Cawich, they did the best that they possibly could, they gathered all the evidence and I have to tell you that initially while here was a discussion of a possible suicide right away I knew as an attorney and as a friend of Mr Jemmott, I knew that that was not possible, I knew certainly that that should be taken off the table right away so it was just a matter of getting the evidence before the DPP and for her to lay the charges and of course I won't get into what it is that convinced her to lay the charge manslaughter by negligence, we have to trust the system, and trust the process, and that is a decision that she made in her wisdom based on the evidence that was gathered by the police."

Jemmott will be buried on Saturday in his hometown of Dangriga. We'll have coverage of the event.
