Last night we told you about the break in at Trinity Methodist School - where thieves made off with a bunch of office hardware and computers.
Their area rep says the school has suffered this fate 9 times too many:
Hon. Kareem Musa - Minister of Home Affairs "The situation at Trinity is a most disappointing, discouraging, disheartening one. They have been broken into 9 times. 8 times just last year in a span of three months and one of the pieces of equipment that they lost in the most recent burglary is an industrial printer and so as area representative, not as a ministry donation, I purchased one and I donated that to them yesterday but in addition to a printer they're also in need of I think two laptop computers and some other pieces of equipment and so I'm working along with them to do a fundraiser next week Saturday, a BBQ sale, the neighbourhood watch group, Kings Park neighbourhood watch group, has come together to say they want to make donations to the fundraiser so it's a wonderful community initiative at a time of great despair and discouragement so it's very uplifting and when I met yesterday with Bishop Benguche, he actually told me the very same thing that he was so glad to see that people are coming on board because this is like I said a recurring issue and so we have to certainly deal with this and tackle this, we cannot continue to have criminals take advantage of our children, of schools, of churches, absolutely ridiculous so we have a zero tolerance when it comes to that. The last thief that burglarized 8 times, we were able to capture him and he's not behind bars but this one is a new thief because that one is currently at Kolby Foundation and so we are going to use whatever resources we have to ensure that this does not happen again."
Musa says that what should help is a police booth which the neighbourhood watch has donated in Lopez Mateos Park, which sits across from Trinity.
