And from that self-sufficient shooting victim to a man accused of kidnapping his common-law- wife.

Ronlee Petillo is finally free tonight after that charge was dismissed in the court of Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford.

You'll remember Petillo from the back and forth between Commissioner of Police Chester Williams and his common-law wife Kishana Bodden. Back in May, the COMPOL told the nation that Bodden's life had been threatened when Petillo and another man almost tossed her off a bridge on the John Smith road.

But that's a claim that Bodden rejected in an interview she gave to this channel.

Today Bodden told our court reporter that the incident which was just a misunderstanding should have been handled by the domestic violence Unit.

She claims the police had a grievance against Ronlee and did what they wanted to make sure that he was arrested and charged.

Ronlee Petillo was first arraigned on May 12, 2021, three days after the alleged kidnapping occurred on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Due to the nature of the offense, he and a minor were remanded into custody.
