ASP Fitzroy Yearwood was also asked about the murder of William Alexander Thompson and the discovery of his body on the Cristo Rey Road. According to Yearwood, the investigators are trying to fill in the blanks of what occurred between the hours after he spoke to his family members, and the time when his body was discovered:
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood - Director of Communications, ComPol's Office
"That's on Saturday. It's Cristo Rey road, to be honest, around Santa Elena Town. The reason for clarifying that is that I heard reports and saw some on social media where they were saying Cristo Rey Village. Nonetheless, we found a body. We found the body of Thompson with apparent stab wounds to the stomach area. Initial investigation revealed that he was seen sometime around 9:30 on Friday night by other family members, and Saturday morning, he was found by a passerby. The person who found him initially believed that he was asleep. But, because they saw some bloodstains on his shirt, it prompted them to call the police, and the police then went to the scene. When they arrived on the scene, they suspected that this person may have been killed."
"We can only go on the account of the last person who saw him alive. And a family member claimed that they actually spoke to him at 9:30 on Friday. What happened between 9:30 and when he was found on Saturday is a gap that we're hoping that some person or persons will come forward and help us and enlighten us with the information that might explain why he was found out there."
