And while Belize City lost two men to that violent shootout, a Guatemalan national from Belmopan is also dead under somewhat circumstances that police call sketchy.
It happened on Saturday morning where a man was found dead on the road in the Maya Mopan area - 12 hours after he had last been seen. Police told us more:

"We know that on Saturday police responded to a scene on Guyana street, Belmopan where they found the lifeless body of 50-year-old Armando Cacao with an apparent cut wound to the throat. Investigations in that immediate area reveal that sometime around 5:30 on the 23rd is when he was seen riding a bicycle around that area and was found by a passerby early Saturday sometime around 4:30. We initially have two persons detained for questioning and we hope that these persons can shed some light as to what happened to Mr. Cacao as we said it's very sketchy, we took a while to try to locate someone that we believe is his only relative in Belize. I must state that Mr. Cacao is a Guatemalan national. but that's what the investigators have so far."
And while investigators scramble for answers the only person left to cry for Don Armando is his friend and drinking buddy Don Lino. Today he told plus TV that this murder will affect him for the rest of his days.

"What I heard is that they called him and so when he left, he went to take a bath and he got ready and was still talking to Cesario's wife and from there he hit the road and from then until now we don't know what time they killed him because I didn't even realize."
"I'm going to be sad for the rest of my days he came here every day to converse with me in fact even the hat, even his hat, I had to throw away poor thing. And now how can I not miss him. He came and if not I'd say to him when are you coming over. He'd say to me what is there to eat and I'd say go get some tortillas cause there's beans to eat, and he'd ask $2, $3 all he's ask me is how much and we'd eat inside there from there to here I can't really say anything more what I'd say is that he wouldn't have done it because he was already old. I don't know they did it."
