And while Cowo was killed at home in Corozal, two others may have illegally crossed the border only to lose their lives at the hands of the cartels.
Tonight the COMPOL says that's all still rumor.

"We have received rumors and I have to say rumors because we have not gotten anything official that they may have been two Belizeans who went over to Chetumal to sell some drugs and apparently the Cartel's in Chetumal may have murdered them and put them in a barrel. That is a rumor that we are getting. At this time, we cannot confirm or deny the information but that is just what we are getting. Today. I'm not going to reveal the names as yet because we don't know if it is true, today we will liaison with our Mexican counterparts as well as through the Ministry of Foreign affairs to see if in fact, it is so and if we can get some official words from Mexico. Then we are going through the process of informing the family members and then the public."
The Cops also told us that they've made checks at the homes of the men believed to have lost their lives in Mexico. They say that neither of them is at home.
