And in other news, a man was killed in a car accident yesterday evening in Belmopan. Sometime before 6:00, 29-year-old Marvin Quib and Carlos Pop were in a silver Nissan pickup truck when Pop lost control of the vehicle. It ran into a drain and crashed into a cement fence on Hummingbird Avenue. The two passengers were reportedly unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle. They were rescued and rushed to the Western Regional Hospital. Quib was then transported to the KHMH where he died while receiving treatment. Today we spoke with his younger brother who said that Quib told him earlier that day that he would be doing an odd job for a company to make some extra cash.

"I tried to call him on phone yesterday morning and he called me and ask me if I can go with him to haul water, I told him I can't go because I have work to do at home. And I also remind him that he doesn't have to go to do that job, because it is raining anything could happen to him. But eventually he went on his own and when I received the information, they told me that he is there at the western regional hospital. I went to check on him, I saw him, but didn't have the time to speak to him because he cant speak and can't open his eyes. He is in a very critical condition."

"He is a good person to everyone, he is helpful, he works at the New Capital Restaurant and he have a lot of friends. He respects everyone from young to old and now he leaves 2 children behind and his wife. We can't bring him back, we really missed him and that's all I could say right now."

Quib's daughters are aged 4 to 6 years old.
