And back in the city, the police were forced to intervene to break up a fight that occurred on 6th Street yesterday evening. A video of the police attempting to detain one of the men involved made it to social media, and in the comment section, residents railed against the officers for being "unprofessional" and for firing a warning shot. Most surmised it as another case of police brutality, but today, the other man involved in the altercation, Minister Francis Fonseca's driver, Mushea McDonald said that the police were only trying to help him after the detainee assaulted him with a pizza box.

McDonald clarified that he asked for the police's intervention after the detainee continued to behave unruly. He said that now he fears for his safety since he believes his attacker is mentally unstable. Here is his side of the story:

Voice of: Mushea "Mr Breggin" McDonald
"What happened a little earlier up 6th Street, I was going on my bicycle and I already pass this guy, from behind he assault me with a box of pizza so immediately got off the phone and asked him, why did you stone the pizza at me? He didn't answer, I asked him about four different times. So going down more to 6th Street, I saw two officers at the Chinese store so I hailed after them and I told them this guy just assaulted me with a box of pizza from behind. Upon me telling them that, he turned around like he want to assault me again so I throw my bike at him and we start to tussle, heads up, street, we noh play, yo. Four, five seconds afterwards the officer came and try to separate us so they end up across the street from where the incident began from. So what they put up on the TV was only part of the video, the officer was just trying to assist me okay. And the guy was trying to resist arrest so I really want to talk the officer for assisting me because this guy attack me from the back with a pizza. Imagine if it was a bat or a machete. Come on, man. So when I reach to the station they told me the guy is mentally challenged and I'm the second guy that he assault. As you can see in the video an eyewitness holler, the man is trying to take away your gun, and he did try to steal the officer gun. Apparently what I heard, this guy lives on 6th street where I have to pass everyday to pick up the minister which it takes 2 and a half minutes from my house to the minister's house so to avoid future interaction with this guy, I have to go all the way around which will take ten minutes now. I can't imagine."

McDonald hopes that the proper authorities will intervene to get the attacker off the street.
