Cops Got A Gun in San Ignacio

Police in Cayo took a gun off the streets on Sunday night. Around 9:30, a mobile patrol stopped and searched a red Geo Prizm without license plates in San Ignacio Town. The driver Oscar Omar Caretella was joined by Dennis Matus and Rene Zetina.

Police found a single live round of ammunition on the seat and that prompted them to search harder. And that's when they found a 9 millimeter pistol for which the occupants of the vehicle had no license. All three were charged for the offense of "Kept Firearm without a Gun license, and kept ammunition without a gun license".
