And in between all of those meetings, the PM missed what was - for many Belizeans - the entertainment highlight of the month; that moment when the Belize flag unfurled on stage to an audience of millions during the BET Awards.
We asked the PM what he thought of Shyne Barrow's form of promoting Belize and he played it off, saying that Barrow was better off sticking to rap music instead of politics.

"No, I did not see. I have been busy. I am here in Lisbon, it's almost 10pm at night and my first meeting started this morning at 8:30, so I've been just from meetings to meetings all day long. But we all know that that's what the leader of the opposition aspires for to be back on the stage to rap. I think he has a better chance of becoming a successful rapper, a better chance of doing than become the prime minister of Belize."
