Tonight, alleged serial baby abuser, 31-year-old Troy Banner, is behind bars. Banner is accused of hurting his newborn - a baby girl only about two weeks old. Over the weekend, the baby was rushed to the hospital with a broken arm, bruises to the back, and abrasions to the mouth.

Banner had reportedly told the hospital that the baby rolled off the bed, but police didn't buy that story and have since charged him with Grievous Harm, Cruelty to a Child, and Wounding.

This morning, Banner appeared in the Belmopan Magistrate's Court where he was arraigned on those three charges. No plea was taken from him and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 13th.

Banner reportedly told the court that he had a lawyer - the same lawyer who had represented him back in 2019 when he was charged with manslaughter of his 2-month-old. However, there was no lawyer in court and as such, Banner was unrepresented.

As we have previously noted, this is the third time that Banner has been accused of harming one of his own children.
