And moving now to crime news, as we told you last week, a vehicle full of Venezuelans was intercepted at mile 18 on the Philip Goldson Highway as a possible human smuggling case. The ATIPS unit is currently investigating the situation but the ComPol told us today that the driver said he was taking them across the Chetumal border.

"I know that the checkpoint in Ladyville intercepted a vehicle carrying 4 I think they were Venezuelans and along with them was an individual, he stated that he was taking them to the norther border where they would have gone into Mexico. The investigation is being done by the A-TIPS Unit and we expect to conclude that very soon. We also have information there is a police officer involved and we are also looking at that aspect of it."
