Four Year Old Loses Life in Accident

A child died in a traffic accident in Cayo this morning. At around 8:30, this Ford Expedition crashed into a culvert between miles 60 and 61 when the driver, 36 year old Erika Trapp lost control. The Georgeville resident had four children inside between the ages of 4 and 13 years old.

4 year old Zanden Villanueva got the worst of it. He was in the front passenger seat and received serious injuries. He succumbed to those injuries shortly after at the San Ignacio Hospital.

Trapp was with two of her daughters, aged 6 and 13 - who were on the back seat - while 6 year old Randy and 4 year old Zanden Villanueva were on the front passenger seat.

The 4 who survived all received various injuries. Police have not yet laid charges.
