The PM did acknowledge that there is a backlog of work at the Public Service Commission, which is causing retired public servants pain. They are waiting for the finalization of the retirement benefits, but their applications are stick in limbo on the desk of the Public Service Commission

The PSU chairman called out the government about that matter last week, and here's what the PM had to say yesterday:

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister

"Trust me, I understand on the issue of addressing that matter. We have a number of public officers that have retired and they need their money and so we want to get it done as soon as Mrs. Murrillo takes over that position, trust me, we will ensure to get that done as quickly as we possibly can. But we want to make sure that we find the right person."
