The managers of Eruption nightclub, 44-year-old Mirna Estela Portillo, and 51 year old Hector Choj, have been arrested and charged for allowing entrance to a 17-year-old female minor who has alleged that she was raped while inside the club on Friday night.
That's after the teenager was found walking partially nude on the Phillip Goldson highway on Saturday morning She told officers that she was at a nightclub on Friday night, but lost consciousness shortly after she arrived. When she woke up the next morning, she was in her underwear in a vehicle, and realized that she had been raped.
The offence is Admitting a person under 18 years of age being a 17 year old female minor.
A statement from Eruption's management posted on their facebook page today says: "the club does not encourage underage drinking nor allow minors within the establishment." end quote It goes on to say: " We are presently at a point in which we need to thoroughly review our security measures and implement even stricter rules for the safety and security of our customers and to ensure good standards are constantly met."
