The Commissioner of Police Chester Williams returned from an international conference in Miami over the weekend - but shortly after he did - he got in an accident on the George Price Highway. It happened near Blackman Eddy on the George Price Highway on Sunday afternoon. A picture shows that his Ford Explorer had a collision with the front end of a small vehicle driven by a tourist. Reports tells 7News it happened while the Commissioner was overtaking. Last night, the commissioner told us " I was overtaking and a vehicle In front decided to make a left turn without looking what was coming behind and he hit my back wheel. My vehicle received no damage." What we take from that is that the Compol had to brake suddenly when the vehicle made a left turn, which is when the tourist's car rear ended his back tyre.
