Two days ago, we showed you this year's Christmas Luncheon for soldiers, which was held at the Belize Defense Force's Price Barracks Compound.
During that event, we got an update from the Commander of the BDF about last month's mysterious shooting of a soldier who was posted at the Valentin Conservation, which is located deep inside the Chiquibul Forest, and near the border, across from the Guatemalan village of La Rejoya.
As we reported, police were assisting the BDF in investigating whether or not the officer was injured by friendly or hostile fire that could have originated in Belize or from across the border. General Loria told the press that at this time, they don't have any reason to believe that the soldier was shot by someone from across the border.
