They were convicted of killing 75 year old hardware store owner, Oscar Rosado Senior in a 2018 robbery. Today Brandon Hughes and Jose Gomez were sentenced for the crime.
Seen here with a GSU escort and chained on both hands and feet, the pair left the court for the prison today where they will both serve long sentences.
Hughes - seen here in the white t shirt with dread locks is the one who allegedly pulled the trigger. He got a life sentence but he is not eligible for parole until after serving 30 years. He has served 5 years on remand and so that was deducted from his sentence.
José Gomez was sentenced to 12 years but he is not eligible for parole until serving 8 years. He served three and half years on remand remand since, leaving him with 4 years 7 months exact before he is eligible for parole.
While Gomez was not the shooter, the judge noted that he stood there and did nothing to help the victims.
