And Vidal was out there basically trying to gather evidence that would prove his nephew's alibi that he is not the killer.

And while he's trying to gather evidence for the defense, what about the prosecution? That lost the key "I see" witness when Vivian Ramnarace died on Sunday. She watched the killer at close range as he shot her six times, and she sheltered her 5 year old daughter from him.

But, now the police will only have her statement. How badly does it weaken the prosecution's case? We asked the Compol:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I am pretty confident that we do have sufficient still, absent Vivian [Ramnarace], to successfully prosecute Elmer Nah."

Jules Vasquez
"OJ Elrington has weighed in on the statement that would be admitted by someone who is deceased and he said that in his opinion as a criminal defence attorney, not having her here significantly weakens the effect of her statement that she may have given before she passed."

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I had listened to that interview that you had with OJ and I guess that his comments came from a point of ignorance as to the evidence that we have."
