A man was knocked down early Sunday morning on Coney Drive and up to tonight, he says he still has not gotten justice. That's because he believes the woman who was driving the vehicle that hit him faced no consequences.
Yesterday he came to our studio and said that the police don't have his report on file, and that, to his knowledge, the driver wasn't served with an NIP.
And since he now has medical bills stacking up, he said he needs justice.
Harrison Hamilton, Accident Victim
"It happened Sunday morning, I was coming from the show, and a lady, I think she was intoxicated, drive straight off of the street and into me and my lady, but only I took the full blow. Then now when she already knocked me, she was still trying to go, so now I had to muster the will to get back and end up running in front of the same vehicle that just knocked me down so that she didn't go. Now when she came out of the vehicle, she was blaming us for being on the street those hours. It was like insult to injury. Then it still didn't end there, when the police and ambulance came, when the police came, they asked me my name, they asked her for her name, they got her particulars, they went straight back to her and told her, miss well you could have a seat until we are ready for you. Me, who was under blood and in pain, they didn't offer me any seat, I had to hold up on a lamppost until the ambulance came. Right there I saw that was already favoritism."

"So now the Monday, I got a call from the officer who was on the scene told me to come in because they want me to settle with insurance, but I said, insurance only work for vehicle against vehicle so I don't know what he's talking about. But I still went, when I went, he wasn't there, shift already changed, the next officer that was there, he shocked, he wanted to know why I am talking about an accident and nothing was on record that I was knocked down, so I said, that's a red flag right there. So I said, how come they didn't bring in the person, take specimen, take blood tests, because you could see she was under something. They didn't take any picture of any vehicle, nothing. so I said, something is wrong there, because if it was me, if it was me who did that, I would be under lock and key."
"So I done see it's a runaround because they already slipped up because they didn't take the report, no specimen from the lady, no picture, nothing, it's like they ran over a dog."
"So then now I'm already starting to spend money that I don't even have, I'm a mechanic, I need my full strength to work. I am broken up, my foot everything, I flipped, I'm broken up. I need to go to hospital back right now because the funding is running low on me. I need to go a specialist, hospital did their x-ray and nothing is broken but I still banged up, I got nerve damage because I felt it in my chest, I folded up, when I got banged, I folded up like an accordion."
