And there was another traffic fatality almost simultaneously in the Corozal District on the road between San Victor and San Narciso.
San Roman resident Gilberto Tolico was on a motorcycle when he crashed head on into an oncoming vehicle. He died on the spot from the impact.
The Police press officer told us more:

"It is believed by investigators so far that the motorcycle may have collided head on into the [Chevy] Tracker and the driver received severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on the spot."
"Robert Teck was detained by Corozal police. We know that a notice of intended prosecution was served on him."
