6 people died in accidents this weekend - 5 of them in a pair of traffic fatalities in the north on Saturday night.

That's when a family of four lost their lives all at once in a terrible head on collision. Siblings 28-Year-old Aldair and 18-year-old Janina Tillett were returning from Botes along with Aldair's common-law wife Felicia and his 4-year-old daughter Alisha Tillett.

They were all in a Ford Ranger pickup which collided head on into a Ford F-150 Pickup whose driver appeared to have lost control. Tonight it's believed that all four died on impact when they were crushed inside the smaller pickup.

And this morning our 7News team headed to Orange Walk's Trinidad Village, to find Angelica Vasquez, the mother and Grandmother who is enduring this unimaginable loss. Here's what she told Cherisse Halsall this morning.

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"They were, they were my world, they were my heart. They were all for me my sons, how could I tell you? My firstborn, my third born. They were so sharing they were such loving persons."

"My daughter loved to put to music, she was a very hyper person. She loved to take pictures, oh she loved that. My son, he was an amazing person."

"If he could help you he helped you. If he knows you he won't pass by your side without hailing you, saying hi."

Cherisse Halsall:
"And it seems that they were very close?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"Yes, they were inseparable person siblings they were inseparable, wherever he goes he carries her and wherever she goes, he does. Says why didn't you tell me you were going so that I can go with you. They were inseparable."

And Janina's constant desire to spend time with her brother and his family has left her mom Angelica mourning two children.

Cherisse Halsall:
"When this terrible incident happened, where were they going or where were they coming back from?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"They were coming back from Botes, Botes."

Cherisse Halsall:
"So they had a fun day out?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"Yes, they loved to go and eat ceviche right there, my sister took pictures of what they were doing over there that evening."

Cherisse Halsall:
"And from what you have been able to understand, how did this happen?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"I don't know because every Saturday he. Goes to pick his wife up from Orange Walk."

"She came out at 5, he goes to pick her up every Saturday. They do thier shopping, take my granddaughter to the park and come back. I don't know maybe they decided to go to Botes eat their Ceviche, buy some, I don't know."

And while thinking about the accident itself is still traumatic for Vasquez, the worst of her pain stems from the loss of her four-year-old granddaughter.

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"She was a, she was my princess. She was so happy going at Kinder every day when she came from kinder her next granny would change her and she would come over here and spend all of the rest of the day with me and we'd take her by 5;30 to her home because she would say my mommy is coming at 6:00."

"She was a very nice kid. When she comes she used to help me if I am washing dishes she'd say granny I will help you. If I am sweeping, Granny and she'd take the next broom and say Granny I will help you. If I am washing she hands me the paste or something. She is so loving."

Cherisse Halsall:
"Every mother, every grandmother in this country feels for you right now because they just think it's unimaginable for you to lose so many people in one moment, how, how are you even able to be strong for your family?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"God, God is my support. God can't give you what you can't hold. He is sustaining me and he's still sustaining me."

And in this small close-knit village, the Tillett's are far from the only one's mourning. 18-year-old Janina Tillett is also missed at school where her death was an all-too-sudden shock for her fourth-form class.

This morning her homeroom teacher remembered her fondly.

Gabriel Sanchez, Homeroom Teacher 4-B

"She was very joyful, she was the. Kind of student that you will never have a dull moment, and she was always laughing, sharing jokes and things like that so she was very loved by her classmates and thusly the reaction they are having right now, emotionally there are some of them that are very devastated and still in disbelief of this tragic loss."

And friends too are working to keep Janina's memory alive. Lucero Palencia, was one of those closest to her. She says that when she learned about the accident she just couldn't believe it.

Lucero Palencia, Janina's Classmate & Friend

"I was at home and then when they called us we were on the group chat and then it was really hard, they said that she was still alive but then some said no and I couldn't believe it at first. It was really hard."

Cherisse Halsall:
"What's the sentiment from the class right now, we were in there and the mood is very somber but what are they saying amongst themselves?"

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"They're crying, they are going through a lot too, and it's really affecting them."

"So, it's really going to take time for us to process everything but I know with God we will process it."

"She was very friendly person and loving and anything you can expect from a good person."

And back at the family home Aldair and Janina's mom says that if anything comes out of her loss she can only hope that it's more caution around drinking and driving.

Angelica Vasquez, Mother Of Aldair & Janina
"For people who drink, my son used to drink and I won't say he didn't drink his two beers at Botes. He drank his two beers at Botes because my daughter, she sent us, she took her picture with the six-pack and the ceviche from Botes but drinking is something that doesn't carry anything good in life. I every time I told him if you drink don't drive and every time he was drinking his dad used to say if you are going to take the truck to the factory… If you want to drink, drink. Tell me and I will go and find another driver and if you are going to take the truck don't drink. So that is what I can say, please if you are drinking and you think you can do bad to other people please try to not do it. Think of others."

"Yes, because maybe they are happy they are living thier lives, but you can damage others."

The driver of the other vehicle, Byron Tillett and his passenger were also badly injured in the collision. His condition is reported to be stable and was suffering from broken ribs. Police have issued him with a notice of intended prosecution but have not settled on what charges if any will be brought. They could not confirm if blood alcohol samples were taken.
