In mid February, 21-year-old Andre Vernon was executed in cold blood right in front of his family home.
No one has been arrested - but the family has been instrumental in tracking down the triggerman. Today, the commissioner said they appreciate the help, but the alleged killer appears to have absconded:

"We appreciate the effort the family members have given to the investigation. It certainly went a long way in identifying who the killer is and from what we have been made to understand, the killer may have fled to the US. We are trying to establish where in the US that person went and once we can establish that then we will send through Interpol a warrant for his arrest and perhaps return to Belize."
"If it is that the family may have any information pertinent to his whereabouts in the US, we would be grateful to get those information so that we can move to the next step with the investigation. But I do understand the family issue and I want to assure them that it is not..."
