The Commissioner also gave a very terse comment on the case of a cop accused of shooting at someone in Roaring Creek - and he did not do it in the line of duty, or even with a police weapon.

It was a domestic dispute where 22 year old constable Jarrel Young allegedly fired a shot at his girlfriend's house - one hour after a domestic dispute in which police had to remove him from the area.

But obviously they didn't detain him as one their own, and he went right back to the property to fire on the house, grazing 24 year old Isiah Logan who had intervened to break up the dispute between Constable Young and his girlfriend.

Constable Young has since been charged for the Crimes of aggravated assault, wounding and damage to property.

But, the Commissioner says, he should also be charging for using an unlicensed weapon:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"He had no licensed firearm and he did not use a police weapon. Whatever was used, we believe it's an illegal gun."

So far no charge has been brought for use of an unlicensed weapon.
