Today, social media erupted into confused chaos after a picture of a tombstone with a massive hole hammered into it went viral. Most commenters thought that someone had robbed the grave of its entire coffin. But the hole was actually made by City Council's own workers. That's because the tomb was built on top of the wrong grave, and when the family responsible for the bodies buried underneath brought the issue to the attention of CitCo, the council promised to remove it. But so far, they've only managed to remove the coffin, and the rest of the tomb is left to be demolished.

But in the Cayo District, passersby also noticed that one of the tombs in the Santa Elena cemetery was broken. We aren't sure if that's also work being done by the town's council, or if someone damaged the grave for some unscrupulous reason.
