
And on Friday we told you that 51-year-old Julian Villanueva was found dead on the side of the highway in Santa Elena with a cut wound to his chest. Over the weekend, police's investigation led them to the perpetrator, 27-year-old Mark Luis Castellanos. Today, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood gave us the details of the case.

"San Ignacio police responded to information of a male person seen motionless on the side of the George Price Highway. When police arrived there, they observed what they believe was a stab wound to the center of the chest area. That person was rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Julian Villanueva, 51 years was the victim identified in this murder. The investigators gathered certain information and at the end of their investigation they have enough information to arrest and charge Mark Luis Castellanos, 27 years of Santa Elena for the murder committed against Mr. Villanueva."

"Motive not yet establish, but the information gathered holds enough for charges to be levied against Mr. Castellanos."
Even though police have yet to ascertain a motive, reports are that the victim had been receiving threats from persons who wanted to burn his house down.
