43 year old caretaker John Cus was imprisoned on remand on Friday, after he was convicted of raping a tourist on San Pedro. It happened back in February of 2018 when, after a night out socializing with Cus, she and her friend went to their separate sleeping area, and did not invite him to stay. But, at 4:00 in the morning, she woke up to and him raping her. She pushed him away but he refused to leave the room, and that's when her friend who was sleeping in the next room came to check what was the ruckus which is when Cus pretended to be there fixing the air conditioning.
They reported it and Cus was arrested. On Friday, in a trial without jury before Justice Antoinette Moore, she found John Cus guilty of rape and set his sentencing set for April 17th.
Cus, who is a caretaker, took the stand and gave evidence and said he didn't do it.
