As we told you last night, 39 year old Ladyville resident Miguelito Encalada has been charged for the double murder of his girlfriend and brother.
Encalada is believed to have killed them both with his licensed firearm last week Thursday. When police got into the house, they found him drinking a beer - and he pointed them to his weapon which was resting on a chair.
But, reports tell us that Encalada had only recently gotten a licensed firearm after years of being refused. Police today confirmed the recent acquisition:
Jules Vasquez
"Are you able to say how long ago Miguelito Encalada had gotten a gun license?"
ACP Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division
"He had that license for a couple of months now."
