Today, 12 organizations who work to preserve and conserve the blue economy were awarded with grants to enhance the work they do. It's one of the commitments of the Blue Bond agreement, which states that the government has to invest into the Belize Fund for A Sustainable Future. And today, 11.5 million dollars were distributed. The CEO in the Ministry of The Blue Economy, Kennedy Carillo, told us more.
And one of the organizations who received a grant was the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association. Executive Director Valdimar Andrade told us how they plan to use the money.
