And yesterday, you heard from attorney Norman Rodriguez about his 14-year-old client. The minor is accused of stabbing another minor, and Rodriguez explained that - according to this client and an eyewitness - it was in self defense. Still, he called out the police for not conducting a proper investigation and for detaining his client without levying charges.
Today the media asked the ComPol about it.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"I am aware of the case and I don't think I should answer to every accusation made by attorneys. Attorneys are people who are paid to defend clients and they will always try to find the most creative or the most enticing story or twist to a story to get the public a different, a certain perception. I am sure the police did their investigation, recorded statements from witnesses who were present as well as from the victim himself and it is clear that the person who has been charged was properly charged and if Mr Rodriguez believes that his client acted in self-defense, then at trial he will have a chance to defend his client and bring up that defense."
